My wife and I stayed here three nights over the 4th of July weekend. This beautiful, rustic yet modern, Inn is a hidden jewel in Aiken, SC.
The peace and quiet was wonderful and the complete opposite of our big city living.
Melinda's south-west decore, brought with her to Aiken from Texas, is a sight to behold! The beautiful collection, each piece museum quality, has a story filled with happy times and loving memories.
The daily handmade breakfasts were wonderful! Fresh, hand picked blueberry pancakes, fresh bread French toast, crustless quiche made and baked that morning! Fresh eggs gladly given up by "spoiled chickens" were a real treat! Fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and orange juice every morning! And chocolate cookies all day! (be sure to ask for a glass of Melinda's ice tea!)
The feather-top bed, spa tub, views from our second story windows, and the back yard swimming pool took the Birdsnest Inn beyond 5 stars!
We would give six stars is possible. We will be back!
