Donald and the melanias

As there are too many hens to name individually, I took the advice from a friend and gave all of our heritage breed hens the same name, melania.  I named our orange bielefelder rooster, donald----  Donald crows constantly and the melanias are gorgeous!  The hens are speckled sussex, columbian wyandottes, and domingues, all great laying hens.  the bowl of eggs is from the last 24 hours.  the "girls" assure the birdnest inn of a good supply of fresh eggs every morning!
